New Bed

Sunday we went looking for a full mattress for Madeleine's bed. They delivered it Wednesday afternoon. Ryan, Madeleine and I spent the evening re-arranging her room and putting her bed together. She is so excited and loves her new bed. She especially loves the fact that mommy can lay in bed with her.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

3 years ago on a dark and stormy night...

well, not really dark and stormy, but it was 3 years ago today that ryan and i were awaiting the arrival of our sweet baby girl. right about 8 weeks i was diagnosed with pregnancy induced hypertension - otherwise know and high blood pressure. i was immediately put on medication to help control it and while it did keep my blood pressure lower than without it still stayed too high. at 37 weeks i failed my non-stress test and was induced.

we arrived at the hospital at 7pm on sunday july 29 for my induction. our beautiful baby girl was born at 2:57p on Monday july 30. Madeleine was transferred to the nicu on tuesday due to severe jaundice and was released to come home on friday, august 3.

Happy Birthday Sweetie - you are the light of mommy and daddy's life.

Strawberries?

Madeleine does not like strawberries - weird child I know. She does however love the high fructose corn syrup gunk that they flavor to "taste" like strawberries. She definitely ate more of this than she should have, but she sure had a blast while doing it.
