But, 20 minutes later the doctor was back telling us she was done and 20 minutes after that she woke up and they brought her back in to us. The doctor said she had an ear infection in both ears (surprise, surprise) and lots of fluid behind them. He said it looked pretty nasty but he got it all cleaned up. Her right eardrum looked fine and did not seem to have any damage - he was a little worried going in since her eardrum had burst 3 times over 6 weeks.
Here are some pictures from right after we got home. She was in a great mood and it has been awesome having the Madeleine we remember back. She had been having ear problems since the beginning of January and was not herself. We did not realize how awful she really felt until we had her back at 100%.
Since the surgery she has been talking up a storm and has learned so many new words and phrases.
Picking out a book to read.

Showing off her hospital bracelet. She freaked when they put it on, but did not want it off once we were home. Notice she is holding her pants leg up for the picture.
